The Ski Famille holiday timeline

So, how can you expect your days to pan out on a Ski Famille holiday? If you haven't been on this kind of family ski trip before it can be difficult to visualise what it's all about. Hopefully the table below will help.

Time Parent Child
07:45 Potter downstairs for breakfast. Welcomed by the chalet host with a mug of coffee. Run down the stairs for breakfast. Decimate 3 pains au chocolate.
08.30 Hand children over to the childcare team and pop back upstairs to get into ski gear Mob the childcare team as they arrive and get ready for ski school
09.00 Grab another coffee in peace
Get taken by the nannies to the ski school meeting point
09.15 A1 minute walk to the slopes and skis on Great fun - the start of the ski lesson
11.30 Leisurely hot chocolate stop in the sun soaking up the mountain views. Nod off briefly then decide it would be respectable to put a few more runs in before lunch Childcare staff pick up from ski school - a quick snack and hot drink and time for some snow man building
12.30 Lunch stop at a stunning mountain restaurant for some Alpine treats and perhaps a small beer in the sun. Lunch with the nannies. Help decorate the home made pizzas into smiley skier faces.
14.00 Time to get back on the slopes and explore a new bit of the mountain mentioned by your chalet girl - discover quiet slopes and more stunning views Toboggan races followed by lots of fun games in the chalet playroom
16.00 Head back towards the chalet to catch up with the children Mum and Dad are back - show off new skiing skills for the day on the slope next to the chalet
17.00 Afternoon tea, homeade cake and a nice cuppa ... after all lunch was hours ago ... Kids tea prepared by the chalet hosts - tasty treats at the end of a busy day
18.00 Pre-dinner drinks offered by the chalet hosts. A quick sip in front of the fire before getting the children in to the bath. Watch a DVD to relax and unwind before heading up to bath and bed
20.00 A delicious three course meal served by the chalet team. Free flowing wine and lots of interesting chat followed by more relaxation in front of the fire

22.00 To bed ... bouyed up by the thought of being able to do it all again tomorrow!
